Dear Friends and Supporters:
Hi. My name is Ava. I would like to share my story of what happened when I learned the word donation in first grade. I was so intrigued, I began using my skill of caring by creating Ava Claus and Friends and partnering with Broward Children’s Center (BCC), a non-profit organization that specializes in helping children that are medically fragile ages birth through 21. Over 40% of the children who live at BCC were born as typical children, but due to accidents and in some cases, abuse, they now have severe cognitive and medical impairments requiring 24 hour nursing services. Ava Claus and Friends visits BCC monthly and volunteers their time to play with the kids, attend special events and spearhead fundraisers with the children. I have made it my mission to help these children and BCC for the past 6 years. This year, we are raising money to help the children purchase medical equipment, toys, arts and crafts supplies, and respite care.
